Radio Forecast Network Affiliate Agreement
Radio Forecast Network has two offerings:
-- "recorded live" customized weather forecasts designed to fit
your format and audience.
-- severe weather alerts when there’s bad weather in your market area, or en
route.
FORECASTS OFFERING: The forecasts are cut with opens and closes that you provide to the length you specify. We
upload your station's weather to a personalized web weather-page within our
website at www.RadioForecastNetwork.com.
You simply access your weather-page and download the studio-quality mp3 file.
Your automation system can automatically download these files directly from our
website. Through a partnership agreement with Digital Jukebox, audio-downloader
software is available at a special cash price of $50.00. (Payable to Digital
Jukebox). Visit www.radiospiders.com to learn more.
Radio Forecast Network will provide up to eleven (11) separate forecast
updates per day, Monday-Sunday, covering multiple dayparts.
Your radio station may specify any length up to (45) forty-five seconds.
Please specify if network or automation requires an exact length, i.e., 29.5
seconds, 30.0 seconds, etc. If a jingle will be added at the station level,
your radio station is asked to provide the available length of the
"donut" for actual forecast voiceover. Otherwise, Radio Forecast
Network reserves the right to deliver the cut from 28 to 32 seconds. RFN agrees
to deliver forecasts "dry." Music beds or "jingles"
inserted at the RFN announcer level will be negotiated at a higher rate
(barter).
Rates:
In exchange for this service, your radio station agrees to provide Radio
Forecast Network with three (3) minutes on a use-or-lose basis --- either: (6)
30 second spots per day OR (3) 60 second spots per day 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Monday through Sunday. The station has the right to refuse ANY
commercial provided by RFN. In such a case, RFN must be notified immediately so
a replacement client may be provided and ANY missed inventory must be made good
by the station.

ALERTS
OFFERING: The alerts have a 30-second ad embedded from a national sponsor, and the outro will have
your call letters and give you the chance to sell “tagouts,” which are the
local outlets for the national sponsor (example outro: “This
WNAV weather alert is sponsored by Michelin. Find the right Michelin
winter tires at Merchants Tire, on
West Street in
Annapolis”).
When a severe weather report is available, we email one or more contacts at
your station (and can ALSO cell phone text message and make an
automated-voice phone call) with the URL of the mp3, such that you can move
quickly to pull it down and run it as many times as you like—we simply
REQUIRE you to provide proof of performance of schedule on a weekly basis via
our web-based system.
